Summary
Merage Foundations is a consortium of nonprofit family foundations headquartered in Englewood, Colorado. The right candidate for the Executive Coordinator position is a top-notch contributor who will be comfortable in a dynamic atmosphere and ready to play a key role on a dedicated team. This position requires an individual who is creative, resourceful, can attend to detail, and effectively manage multiple simultaneous responsibilities.
Responsibilities will include administering the foundations' grant distribution process, including grantee communications, due diligence, maintaining accurate relationship management data, and coordination with our accountant team on the grant payment process. The work will also involve partnering with the Foundation Executive Director to research the principals' philanthropic interests and assist with shaping these ideas into viable social impact projects and partnerships. They will also play an integral role in managing our communication activities, including creating website and social media content, creating newsletters and advertisements, and preparing presentations for our associates, external partners, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have the professional fortitude to independently coordinate projects and will use their judgement to drive for exceptional results nimbly and capably.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Grants Administration
- Coordinate all aspects of grant requests, including data management and fund distribution
- Assure the accuracy and integrity of the grants database in Salesforce
- Interface with accounting team to ensure the efficient processing and tracking of grant payment
- Cultivate positive relationships with grantee partners, including participating in site visits and events
Communications
- Craft compelling written and visual content including blogs and images and promote across a variety of social platforms; partner with third-party designers to develop social media assets and advertising
- Guide other content creators to ensure proper branding and best practice
- Stay on top of the ever-changing social media landscape, provide competitor analysis, and make recommendations to improve overall performance
Support Services
- Manage the office of the Executive Director
- Manage scheduling, coordination, and facilitation of meetings for the Executive Director and other department leaders
- Support department budgeting process, and prepare monthly expense reports
- Provide support as required for foundation events and special projects
Candidate Profile
- An effective executor and implementor, catalyzing for action and results
- Understands that this a complex position that requires hard work and dedication to results
- Demonstrated ability to communicate diplomatically and effectively with high-level stakeholders, including senior executives, academic leaders, policymakers, and community influencers
- Knowledge of Private Family Foundation principals and concepts
- Must be hands-on, resourceful, nimble, and creative
- Strong organizational skills with ability to adhere to fast-paced project timelines
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
- Preferred experience in Philanthropy or Nonprofit administration
- Strong writing and editing skills with experience in creating content for social media and websites
- Experience with social media and website graphic design
- Ability to address challenges with creative problem solving and maintain high performance levels in a rapidly evolving work environment
- High emotional intelligence and excellent relationship building skills
- Preferred experience preparing and administering budgets
- Ability to interface with sensitive information ethically and responsibly
- Strong organizational skills with ability to adhere to fast paced project timelines
Travel
- Minimal-primarily in the Denver metro area
Salary Range
- $60,000 - $90,000 annually
