SUMMARY: This position is responsible for managing the Engineered Materials Technology Support team at Andersen's Bayport, MN manufacturing facility. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing an annual strategy focused on operations excellence, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and eliminating variation within our manufacturing processes. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:- Partner with operations leadership, RD&I, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to lead and manage change within the Engineered Materials Technology space
- Support delivery of our SQDCE metrics and hold team accountable to targets
- Aligns resources to strategic goals and objectives
- Develop and execute projects focused on near term and long-term capacity needs
- Develop, execute, and manage a capital investment plan for the value-stream
- Identify, recruit and onboard engineering and technician talent as needed
- Establish an environment conducive to teamwork, high morale, employee satisfaction and performance
- Be highly visible within the value stream to create a safe environment for collaboration and participation
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- 4-year degree in Engineering, Technology, or Management
- 4-6 years' experience in a technical role (engineering, quality, etc.)
- 1-4 years' experience in a leadership role managing others
- Background in manufacturing preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of quality control systems (SPC, Process Capability)
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic corporate finance, budgeting, accounting
- Strong, proactive communicator, effective both 1:1 and in groups
- Ability to break down technical narratives and present clearly to senior leadership
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to gain alignment across a cross-functional team
