Full Job Description
The City of Chesapeake Public Works Department is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Engineer I to join our Facilities Maintenance Team.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Manages small to medium sized maintenance projects.
- Repairs and improvement projects to include roof replacements, pavement and sidewalk repair and replacement, generator and HVAC replacements, security improvements, etc., at City facilities.
- Works with consultants, Architecture/Engineering firms, and code officials to produce engineering studies and designs for a variety of facility projects.
- Works with City customers to design and construct renovations in City facilities.
- Works with Purchasing to develop/update specifications for IDIQ maintenance contracts (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, etc.).
