Educational Technology Support Specialist I

Position location: Kingston

Grade Level: 10

Salary Range: $57,155 - $86,321

The position is full time, calendar year, permanent.

About URI:

The University of Rhode Island enrolls approximately 17,000 students across its graduate and undergraduate programs and is the State's flagship public research university, as well as the land grant and sea grant university, for the state of Rhode Island. The main campus is located in the historic village of Kingston, also the Narragansett Bay Campus is close to the ocean and major beaches in a beautiful coastal community. The campus is just 30 minutes from Providence, RI and within easy reach of Newport, Boston and New York City.


BASIC FUNCTION:

Assess, design, implement, and support instructional technology for one or more units. Maintain and manage educational technology tools and resources while assisting faculty in leveraging learning technology services. Collaborate within Information Technology Services (ITS) and across departments to provide comprehensive support, including training, contract management, purchasing, and analysis of current and future learning tools. May also participate in small-scale project management and departmental consultations.
