Salary range for RSAM Registered Nurses $41.44 - $64.45 / hour

  • Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
  • Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
  • Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
  • Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
  • Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
  • Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Responsibilities*

The Cardiovascular ICU (CVC 5) is a 10-bed adult intensive care unit caring for patients who have recently undergone cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery. This unit specializes in coronary artery bypass, heart and lung transplantation, heart valve repair, ventricular assist devices and esophageal procedures as well as carotid re-vascularization and aneurysm repairs. Staff members collaborate with the Advanced Practice Team and are involved with patient/family conferences, patient care rounds, and referrals. Perform Charge nurse responsibilities as assigned. Assist in research studies and quality assurance activities.

ENC- COMPETENT NE

Actual RSAM LEVEL and salary will be determined at time of hire.

RSAM levels range from ENC-COMPETENT-NE to ENC-EXPERT-NE TO ENC-MASTERY-NE.

Required qualifications must be met by the candidate in order to be interviewed and considered for the position.

Required Qualifications*

  • Current licensure to practice nursing in the State of Michigan.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing OR Associates degree/diploma in Nursing along with a Master's degree in Nursing
  • Three (3) years of ICU experience
  • Strong work ethic as evidenced by attendance and punctuality, participation on unit as preceptor, mentor, committee involvement
  • Clear understanding of current educational needs of the CVC 5-ICU staff as evidenced by cover letter and personal statement
  • Demonstrated strong team player
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication as evidenced by evaluation and exemplars

Desired Qualifications*

  • BSN preferred
  • Patient Care Tech experience in CVICU
  • Student Nurse experience in CVICU
  • Five (5) years ICU experience
  • Impella Left Ventricular Assist Device and IAPB experience
  • CCRN, CSC, CMC certifications
  • ACLS

    Work Schedule

    Hours/Week: 36 hours
    Shift/Hours/Days: Evenings/Nights, hours may vary, must be flexible to accommodate needs of the unit, will involve minimum of one 12-hour shift as staff RN per week.
    Primary staffing will be on CVC-5 ICU.
    Location: CVC5

    Background Screening
