The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from: $139,000 - $173,000
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a Plan and direct Management Audits in NYSEG & RG&E; provide leadership and/or support to other Opco Management Audit teams as the subject matter expert. Manage AVANGRID relationship with NY PSC selected auditors by directing a smooth, transparent, and collegial process. Effectively work with NY DPS Audit and other Staff during the audit process and afterward to project closeout. Direct development of enterprise-wide implementation plans and key performance indicators (KPI) to address management audit findings. Lead core steering committee of AVANGRID executives in directing and managing the audit process. Direct all compliance filings associated with the Management Audit process. Support other AVANGRID operating companies’ management audits, as necessary, providing direction, leadership, and expertise.
Oversee and direct the annual CEO Certification Process at NYSEG and RG&E. Direct regular review and assignment of all new regulatory mandates by an executive review team and oversee the delisting of obsolete mandates. Ensure that all Business Area Leads have certified that proper controls for all mandates are in place annually and work with the President& CEO of NYSEG and RG&E to submit their formal certification to the NY PSC by March 15 of each calendar year. Provide subject matter expertise to other Opcos endeavoring to establish similar directives.
Develop NY Strategic plan in support of AVANGRID Strategic Plan. Direct activities in NY by working closely with President & CEO to develop jurisdictional plan to align with overall AVANGRID plan.
Direct AVANGRID teams to ensure that new regulatory initiatives are properly covered and managed. Foster relationships with key members of other NY Utilities (Joint Utilities) to discuss and resolve issues associated with regulatory initiatives, including actively supporting utility comments and participation in technical conferences. Identify how regulatory initiatives affect AVANGRID strategy and develop actions from a "project portfolio" perspective. Develop and foster relationships with DPS Staff as appropriate to support NY Presidents’ Office initiatives, in conjunction with Regulatory Affairs.
Participate in and direct strategic development of NY Rate Cases, leading witness panels as appropriate. Direct workforce to track and analyze commitments from rate settlements and orders. Develop KPIs to ensure that NYSEG and RG&E are meeting all commitments, including Earnings Adjustment Mechanisms and other positive and negative revenue adjustments.
Establish and lead task teams to evolve the organization to meet changing regulatory and legislative objectives, particularly to align to and achieve ESG+F goals.
Direct and lead the organization focus on Customer Service Standards and improvements in customer facing initiatives. Direct the workforce to track and report operational performance relative to standards. Provide guidance and direction in addressing any issues when standards are not being met or are challenged by external or internal actions or initiatives.
Build and manage strategic relationships within Avangrid and with regulatory bodies, such as the NYS Department of Public Service.
Support the NY President & CEO’s office, Regulatory, Community and Government Relations, and Customer Service to ensure that the NYSEG and RG&E strategic plan is incorporated into discussions with regulatory and governmental decision makers.
Support the NY President & CEO’s office by identifying, directing, and implementing various program and projects as the needed by the enterprise.
Manage budgets and work closely with the NY President & CEO to ensure that budgets are properly established, tracked, and met. Ensure that headcount is managed. Serve as corporate liaison to Network Control group.
Work across a global matrixed organization, sharing, and learning best practices.
Drive new business practices, balancing global and local needs and impacts.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree required in Business Administration, a technical discipline, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in areas relevant to the Job Responsibilities, including, but not limited to Regulatory, Customer Service, or Operations.
Demonstrated knowledge of corporate-wide business processes and operations.
Proficient to expert-level data analysis and reporting skills.
Process mapping experience required.
Leader with strong organizational and interpersonal skills in a managerial role.
Extensive negotiation experience.
Experience in identifying and assessing business risks and in developing risk prevention or control strategies.
Skills/Abilities:
Ability to manage several sets of agreements and stakeholders as well as to manage and lead multi-disciplinary and international teams.
Strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated collaboration across a heavily matrixed organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree
