Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)
Duties: Responsible for automation and processes required to deploy, manage, configure, scale, and monitor internal, product and cloud-based applications. Coordinate with Development/Quality Assurance teams to facilitate experimentation along with functional and load-testing of applications. Create and manage CI/CD processes related to product development and testing. Migrate application(s) from on-prem data centers to AWS and establish Infrastructure as Code(IaC) patter, by following cloud best practices. Responsible for the management and support of infrastructure and development applications including architectural design, source code management, and hosted applications. Apply multi-region active-active architecture for Moody's products to provide highly scaled and resilient experience to clients. Work collaboratively with development team members to ensure successful delivery and implementation of assigned tasks. Collaborate with data engineering team in leveraging native cloud managed infrastructure across SQL, DynamoDB and MongoDB. Troubleshoot issues across technical layers on AWS and assist developers and data engineers to resolve the issues. Monitoring the backlogged tickets from internal Kanban Board and implement the requirement following DevOps runbooks and best practices. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).
Requirements: Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus at least two (2) years of experience as an Engineer, Developer, Technical Analyst/Consultant/Associate or in a related position analyzing complex technical issues and processes to identify and understand requirements and develop solutions. Must have experience with the following: applying knowledge of cloud engineering, cloud and network security best practices, and software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile or Kanban Development Methodology; creating and usage of Restful APIs and Postman for testing; deploying and managing production environments in Amazon AWS; performing scripting and automation using Shell, Groovy, Python, PowerShell; working with Database technologies, including AWD RDS and ElastiCache; working with source control management, including GitHub/BitBucket, and application security scanning tools, and CI/CD processes using Jenkins and AWS CodePipeline; testing automation using Taurus; working with native AWS using ECS, Lambda, EC2, S3, OpenSearch, API Gateway and Route53; performing network traffic management leveraging HAProxy; and maintaining cloud resources with IaC tool CloudFormation. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $123,656 to $154,600, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Annual base salary gross: $123,656 to $154,600. Applicable to Lithuania candidates: The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moody's salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.
