Summary:

As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact and responsible for delivering a positive NRG experience to visitors. You will welcome guests and greet visitors in our main reception lobby. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

Responsibilities:

  • Handles routine administrative questions, tasks and general office support.
  • Serve as the gate keeper for the office while ensuring that all visitors, guests, and customers are greeted and provided with excellent customer service.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office
  • Notify NRG employees of visitors and guests
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
  • Maintain office security by following procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Update calendars and schedule meetings
  • Coordinates arrangements for presentations, special projects, luncheons, meetings, and travel using Concur.
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing

Education:

High School diploma, GED or equivalent required. Basic math, English, grammar, and punctuation rules are required.Certified Professional Receptionist rating or one to two years of college preferred.

Experience:

At least five (5) years receptionist or relevant related experience in providing customer facing services, requiring regular exercise of initiative, attention to detail, use of personal judgment and discretionwithout immediate supervision.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):

  • High level of tact and integrity due to frequency of senior-level internal and external contacts and regular exposure to NRG customers and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with commitment to goals and objectives of the team.
  • Ability to analyze situations and documentation to determine priority, action required, and appropriate format.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with standard Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) to create documents, correspondence; merge documents, spreadsheets, appointment calendars and reports. Ability and willingness to convert to other company standard software as changes are made. E-mail and Internet proficiency.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally (both verbally and written) with all levels of company personnel and external constituents.
  • Positive attitude is a MUST!
