This position primarily involves a hybrid work schedule - working remotely: Monday & Friday / on site: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Role Overview:
The Concierge Billing and Reporting Specialist will support the administration of Life, AD&D, and SIB plans related to billing, reporting, and administrative service needs for a large national client in the US starting 1/1/2025. Acting as an extension of the client's benefits team, this role will manage critical administrative processes. The specialist will work closely with multiple internal matrix partners at New York Life Group Benefits Solutions (NYL GBS) and collaborate with the National Account Executive (NAE) to develop and execute broad strategies and deliverables supporting NYL GBS products and services. The role requires effective management of business relationships and cross-functional collaboration to ensure client billing and reporting needs are met and processes are efficient.
What You'll Do:
- Manage Monthly Billing Process
- Collect and analyze necessary information from the client and TPA contacts.
- Calculate premiums and prepare accurate monthly premium billing statements.
- Audit and allocate received premiums, resolving any discrepancies.
- Update NYL vendor support team/TPA to:
- Initiate new direct billing for employees transitioning from active to disabled status.
- Stop direct billing and transition employees back to active status.
- Analyze information related to transitions between active and disabled status.
- Reporting and Auditing
- Portability & Conversion Management: Monitor disability reporting to determine actions for employees no longer approved for disability, transitioning to terminated or active status.
- Life Evidence of Insurability Audits: Partner with the client's TPA to perform quarterly audits of Evidence of Insurability status and ongoing administrative reporting.
- General Responsibilities
- Provide front-line support for the client's HR questions and billing or premium continuation inquiries.
- Analyze and interpret questions/issues, providing accurate and clear customer-centric responses.
- Escalate appropriate situations to key stakeholders at the client or NYL.
What You'll Bring:
- College Degree preferred.
- 3+ years of related work experience.
- Proficient knowledge of large employer benefit programs and processes, including premium basis and calculation of group life, AD&D, and SIB premiums.
- Preferred expertise with NYL's premium and coverage continuation operations and partners.
- Excellent listening, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to meet customer expectations, handle sensitive information, and act with urgency.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex issues into effective plans.
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to balance multiple projects and software programs.
- Self-motivated and flexible, capable of working independently and receiving direction from various individuals.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and execution skills.
- Flexibility with work hours to support multiple time zones.

Pay Transparency
Salary range:$67,500-$85,000
Overtime eligible:Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible:Yes

Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
