40Summary:
The Compensation Consultant plays a critical role in providing support, solutions to our customers and works closely with other HR Partners, Payroll, and IT to drive implementation and maintenance of Compensation initiatives and best practices throughout the organization. The Consultant serves as an SME for all areas within Compensation providing consultative, analytical, and technical support related to all Compensation activities include training/development related to Compensation and being a strategic partner.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in finance, human resources or related area required
5 years of progressive compensation experience with at least 2 years in healthcare
CCP preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Attributes
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and complex compensation structures
Technical skills, including intermediate to advanced Excel proficiency with v-lookups, pivot tables, and data visualization tools
Attention to detail and exceptional accuracy, with the ability to review, interpret and synthesize complex data and information
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and findings in a clear and concise manner
A customer service orientation and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members
Practical knowledge of government regulatory guidelines related to compensation, including FLSA and pay equity laws
A continuous learning and growth mindset, with the ability to stay up to date on emerging trends and best practices in compensation and related fields
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a virtual environment
Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
Working knowledge of MS Office, HRIS systems, and comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
Strong relationship management skills with experience in partnering with coaching and building credibility with senior leaders
Ability to mentor and shape a successful team
Ability to use professional concepts and company policies to creatively solve a wide range of difficult problems
Ability to use judgment, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions
Superior knowledge of employment law; independently manages complex ER issues
