This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast's top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.
Organization & Team Overview
Our Product Operations team dives deep into the suite of tools offered between P2 & Aegis, that support construction & design management and service delivery within PLEX's mission-critical to CONNECT and to Comcast's growth strategy.
P2 teams support a enterprise-wide integrated workflow orchestration tool that tracks the progress of all construction job types nationwide - providing visibility into status of milestones, accurate cost of each project, the data to build forecasts, and the ability to roll up those metrics to a national view. Strong knowledge in media or telecommunications is not required - rather this role focuses on the intersection of these industries with technology.
Iris Design & Draftingteams developed an enterprise-wide integrated source of truth for the Comcast outside plant that supports design and wavelength management activity - providing visibility into wavelength assignment and availability, adjacent design activity, and makes this data accessible throughout the organization.
Role Description
The Technical Project Manager Intern will coordinate and drive integrations between platforms, partner platforms and all stakeholders to ensure teams meet delivery timelines. At any given time, the Technical Project Manager Intern should expect to lead major integrations and work with existing integration partners on any enhancement requests.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
The Technical Project Manager Intern will need to work to identify stakeholders listed below and create forums, schedule meetings, create agenda, take notes, provide a document storage solution and track action item to resolution to ensure a successful launch of integration. The Technical Project Manager Intern will be responsible for an engagement model with stakeholders with the skill sets and deliverables outlined below.
- Subject Matter Experts (SME): This group of resources assists the technical teams in development decision points. Goal of this external stakeholder engagement is to ensure technical team questions are answered and baked into requirements
- User Acceptance Testing resources: this group of resources assists the technical team with testing parts of the implementation and providing feedback. Goal for this eternal stakeholder engagement is to ensure they are engaged and test the required components. A bonus if you can make this group a promoter of the product you're building.
- Leads/Influencers: This group of resources are the main group the Technical Project Manager Co-op will need to keep aligned around timelines of product deliverables and educate on the product they will receive. The Technical Project Manager Co-op will need to ensure this group is committed to helping the team roll out new functionality Nationally.
- External Integration teams: This team will jointly develop requirements with the Product team and will be responsible for delivering code required to enable the integration.
- Internal Senior Leadership: This group must be informed of how integrations are tracking for the program and any blockers they need to remove. This group requires succinct communication on a weekly basis on program progress and specific and clear asks if their involvement is required to unblock or de-risk the program
- External Senior Leadership: This group must get involved if alignment around a program that impacts process or resources.
Where can this student make an impact?
The purpose of this role is to ensure internal and external stakeholder alignment throughout the process to support a seamless UAT, Beta and General Availability launch.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Working with software development teams on a day to day basis.
- Obtaining project status from technology team members.
- Learning and using task management and project management software
- Collecting and analyzing project data to provide recurring and adhoc reports with the purpose of measuring progress towards milestones and objectives.
- Owning timeline and communication for product delivery - if a date is published, it is either met or re-baselined with all stakeholders.
- Work with internal team to resolve obstacles.
- If obstacle encountered that requires clearance or support, outline the issue and decision point required succinctly to drive decisions.
- Ensuring everyone who needs to be informed about the program is informed.
- Keeping all listed stake holders aligned with objectives and delighted throughout the process.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Preferred Majors: Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, Business Management, Business Marketing
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2025- Spring 2027)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Salary:
Base Pay: $32.00
