BAE Systems is seeking a Jr Cloud Systems Engineer that will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and integration of systems hosted on the AWS cloud for a program that delivers security and network services across multiple classification levels in the customer's environment.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Support the cloud team in configuring AWS services such as Network Firewalls, VPCs, EC2, etc.
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and software configuration scripts
  • Implement Zero Trust Architecture features across the cloud
  • Performing technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, evaluating alternatives including cost, risk, supportability and analyses for total systems
  • Evaluating total cost of ownership and return on investment of various IT platform/infrastructure alternatives.
  • Working with the customer to understand and validate requirements.
  • Support the security team to test and authorize the system for an enterprise Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Perform lifecycle management on Software and Hardware


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent
  • DoD 8570.01 IAT/IAM level 2 cert


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • AWS Solution Architect Professional, or equivalent
  • Experience working in an Agile or DevSecOps team
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
