Summary of the Role:

The Cleaning Specialist is responsible for the daily supervision and training of cleaning personnel in their performance of facility cleaning activities in accordance with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's).

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Second Shift (3pm-12am)

  • Schedule and supervise all cleaning activities of contract cleaners over multiple GMP manufacturing facilities.

  • Coordinates cleaning activities around ongoing manufacturing activities & is responsible for scheduling any emergency cleaning activities.

  • Review cleaning records and maintains GMP documentation to comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Writes and revises Standard Operating Procedures as needed to accurately reflect process steps and capture process changes.

  • Responsible for the investigation of environmental monitoring deviations.

  • Recruit and supervise a staff of direct reports that work with contract cleaners.

  • Tracks material, labor, and overtime costs associated with cleaning activities.

  • Maintain relationship with third party vendors that provide gowning supplies.

  • Perform SAP consumption transactions for cleaning supplies.

  • Works on routine manufacturing assignments as well as other assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.

  • Routinely works second shift hours between 3:00pm - 12:00am and some weekends.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Education: High school diploma is required, Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred

Experience: High school diploma and 2+ years of cGMP cleaning experience or a Bachelor's degree and 0+ years of cGMP cleaning experience

Required Skills:

  • Must be bilingual in English and Spanish

  • Excellent organizational skills

Desired Skills:

  • Prior cGMP experience

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $59,369 to $89,054. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
