JOB SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager Federal role is accountable for identifying, developing, and closing new and repeat business opportunities with a primary focus on the United States Federal Government. This role will utilize industry-standard best practices and methodologies to perform the highest-quality sales efforts to build long-term Client relationships and grow our annual Federal services revenue according to the approved Federal Services strategy.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Proactively seek and identify new Federal customers, focusing on building relationships that lead to opening doors for Arctic IT's products and services.
  • Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified, biddable Federal opportunities by targeting specific agencies, researching their needs, and aligning our solutions to meet those needs.
  • Cultivate relationships with key Government stakeholders and industry partners to develop strategic partnerships that result in winning Federal contracts.
  • Coordinate and lead discovery sessions and product demonstrations to ensure that our solutions are aligned with the Government's requirements, driving opportunities forward toward proposals.
  • Actively participate in the proposal process, providing insights into the Government's pain points, budgets, and procurement timelines to implement winning strategies.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring timely responses to sales opportunities and fostering long-term engagement with Federal customers.
  • Represent us at industry events, including conferences, webinars, and roundtables, to promote the company and identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate pipeline data, providing regular reports on the status of opportunities and forecasting sales outcomes.
  • Create strategic account plans for targeted Federal agencies, demonstrating clear strategies to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Stay current on Federal IT market trends, procurement processes, and contracting vehicles to position Arctic IT as a top choice for Government buyers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

    Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications or related discipline preferred
  • Minimum4years of experience selling IT solutions and services to Federal Government agencies
    Prior experience within Federal Civilian or DOD government agencies as an executive or IT focused role, is required
  • Provenexperienceintechnologysalesas an Account Executiveor Sales Representative
  • Advancedlevelexperiencetracking sales leads and opportunities inCRM systems (specifically Dynamics 365forSales)
  • Significant experience working experience working in the Shipley Proposal Process and writing Executive Summaries for Government solicitations
  • Applicants subject to background checks, drug testing and government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements related to the clearance process
  • Valid driver's license,insurance,and reliable personal vehicle

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The majority of work for this role is performed in a home office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions, personalities, and abilities. Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat, organized, and professional when on video meetings. Travel is required and varies around 50%.
