Sr. Consultant, Data Mesh Enablement
Apex Systems, a global IT services provider, is seeking a Sr. Consultant with extensive expertise in analytics tools & Data Mesh experience to place at a leading Top Five Bank
Client: Big 5 Bank
Location: Hybrid; 1- 2 days a week in Toronto
Terms: 12 Month Contract, strong possibility of extension
Hours: 37.5 hours/week Monday-Friday, 9:00AM - 5:00PM
About the Role: Were seeking a passionate and experienced Consultant to oversee the design, development, and operation of critical platforms within the organization. As a key member of our technology leadership team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our platforms are aligned with business objectives, scalable, reliable, and secure.
Responsibilities:

• Platform Ownership: Take full ownership of key platforms, ensuring their ongoing health, performance, and alignment with business needs.
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with business leaders to understand their strategic goals and translate them into technical requirements for platform development.
• Technology Roadmap: Develop and maintain a platform roadmap that outlines the future direction and evolution of the platform.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring that they deliver on their commitments and meet our platform needs.
• Change Management: Oversee platform changes and upgrades, ensuring that they are implemented smoothly and with minimal disruption to business operations.
• Performance Optimization: Monitor platform performance and identify areas for improvement, implementing optimization strategies to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with platform operations, ensuring that the platform is resilient and secure.

• Strong proficiency in analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, and Databricks.
• Data Engineering: Proficiency in data engineering tools and technologies, such as data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, and their data management services.
• Distributed Systems: Understanding of distributed systems architecture and concepts.
• Data Governance: Knowledge of data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Data Quality: Experience in ensuring data quality and consistency across the organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
