We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ASIC Architecture Performance Modeling Engineer to join our client’s team on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for modeling storage systems, with a focus on NVMe as the main protocol, using C/C++. You will work closely with system architects, design engineers, and verification teams to ensure that the performance requirements are met and optimized.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain performance models for storage systems, specifically focusing on NVMe protocol, using C/C++.
- Collaborate with system architects to define functional and performance requirements for storage solutions.
- Conduct performance analysis and trade-off studies to guide architectural decisions related to storage systems.
- Support design and verification teams to ensure features and performance meet architectural requirements for storage solutions.
- Conduct extensive data analysis and modeling to quantify performance metrics and identify bottlenecks in storage systems.
- Test and validate the performance models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Correlate performance models with actual RTL simulation results to ensure consistency and identify discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in ASIC architecture and performance modeling, specifically for storage systems.
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Strong understanding of computer architecture and hardware design, with a focus on storage systems.
- Experience with performance analysis tools and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with NVMe protocol and other storage-related technologies.
- Knowledge of performance optimization strategy for storage systems.
- Familiarity with silicon development processes and methodologies.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $72.76 to $80.84 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
