Position Summary/Objective

The Application Support Developer is responsible for providing support of OSV's enterprise applications. These applications are used by OSV Business Process as a Service (BpaaS) Operations team, our customers and their employees. The Application Support Developer will utilize skills in C#, .Net framework, SQL Server, SOAP, JSON, REST,XML Workday, Salesforce Force.com, APEX, Visual Force, and Object-Oriented Design. The ideal candidate embodies a customer-first mentality, excelling in delivering service in challenging situations. Candidates should be fast learners who quickly grasp and understand OSV's products and solutions.

Essential Functions/Duties/Responsibilities

  • Deliver intermediate Tier 2 support for OSV applications, providing timely responses to technical questions and problems. Utilize technical competencies to identify the root cause of system issues and work with the development team to provide technical solutions.
  • Reviews open tickets/issues and troubleshoots independently or in collaboration with technical team members, development partners, or third parties for resolution. Coordinates with technical partners regarding required support by initiating communication/tickets, escalating and following up as required.
  • Be an active member of the Agile team by fully participating in the SCRUM/Agile process, identifying production defects, and understanding new feature deliverables and their impact on the current system.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and/or documentation of new or existing applications, including upgrades, enhancements, and fixes, as assigned.
  • Learn and develop applications using cloud-based technologies like Workday and Salesforce. You may also develop and execute data scripts.
  • Properly document technical support processes and solutions using various tools to communicate clearly to the Application Support Team.
  • Proactively monitor production applications.
  • Perform projects and other activities as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related business area is required.
  • 3+ years of experience in advanced T2 software application support or software development
  • 2+ years supporting fast-paced Agile, continuous integration, and cloud-based technologies
  • 2+ years of experience supporting applications developed using C#, Visual Studio, .net Framework, SQL Server, SOAP, REST, JSON, XML Workday, Salesforce Force.com, and APEX.
  • Proven Track Record of Excellence
  • Passionate about technology and learning new technologies.
  • Firm understanding of object-oriented programming.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in distributed team setup, collaborating with multiple teams
  • Experience with Workday and Salesforce Platforms and functional knowledge of Payroll, Payroll Tax, Financials and Banking
