We are looking for an Advanced Software Engineer to join our Automation business segment. This team specializes in designing and building automated assembly systems. Whether it’s consumer goods, semiconductors, or lifesaving medical devices, our assembly systems incorporate the full suite of the latest technology in vision, motion control and laser integration with next-level precision. If you enjoy solving complex challenges and bringing machines to life, you are looking in the right place.

Success Criteria:

You have a knack for satisfying customers by leveraging your deep knowledge of all things automation. Advanced Software Engineers design and troubleshoot both software and hardware necessary for integration of manufactured systems and products that are key deliverables to customers. No idea is too small or discovery too insignificant. We're always looking for the best innovations. You will be leading project from inception to completion and play a key role in upholding PAR's reputation for creating real world solutions.

You will play an important role in the success of our custom automation and advanced manufacturing projects. We need a driven engineer that applies their experience and knowledge to first-of-a-kind engineered solutions. Use your problem-solving skills to find innovative ways to improve project deliverables, budget adherence, timely delivery, and influence multi-team collaboration. Our teams will rely on your well-versed know-how in time management to close out open projects while initiating new ones.

From design and development of software for critical systems to leading design reviews with our cross functional teams and customers, you’ll be an integral partner in bringing our customers solutions to life. Working with engineering leaders and our chief engineers across business units will give you great career visibility while allowing you to drive continuous improvement and solve first of a kind technical challenges.

Qualifications:


* 3-5 years software experience
* BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering
* Experience programming and debugging software applications
* C++/C# experience
* Experience with Agile software development methodologies and CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with software development tools like YouTrack, Jira, GitLab, Visual Studio, etc.
* Strong organizational and communications skills
* Up to 10% travel
* U.S. Person
* Relational and non-relational databases (preferred)
* Experience with equipment control (PLC, sensors, servo/stepper motors, controls, vision, HMI design, electrical panels, safety) (preferred)
* Experience with VxWorks, RTX64, Integrity or equivalent real-time operating systems (preferred)
* Experience with Windows WPF (preferred)
* Experience with DevExpress (preferred)
* Experience with EtherCat technology (preferred)
