





Legend Biotech is seeking Warehouse Supervisor as part of the Global Operations team based in Philadelphia, PA.
Role Overview
This individual will work in Legend Biotech warehouse at Philadelphia PA site with primary task of supporting logistics and warehouse activities across multiple departments within Legend Biotech company domestically and globally. This role will be supporting shipping, receiving, freight, returns, and import/export operations in a timely and compliant manner. This individual will also support all facility activities and administrative duties as needed by the upper management team. This role requires close collaboration between multiple departments such as procurement department, facility department/EHS, engineering department and also laboratory management team to ensure smooth operation of site. This role will be reporting to warehouse operations manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Support functional areas shipment needs both domestically and internationally inclusive of creation of import and export filing documents on behalf of Legend Biotech.
- Work with procurement team to create purchase orders in the beginning of the year for different shipping companies, suppliers or service providers to budget properly for the upcoming year shipping costs or other services or supplies costs.
- Monthly review of shipping services costs, machine maintenance services costs, other services costs, supplies costs and work with operations manager and finance on any identified discrepancy.
- Accurately process inventory receipts ensuring correct matching to purchase orders, documentation of approvals, quality checks and adherence to policies.
- Work with other sites to create stock transport orders and coordinate shipping services as needed.
- Maintain paper and electronic records accurately and timely to support efficient response to auditors and other stakeholders.
- Adhere to and/or train others the necessary work instructions, standard operating procedures and/or hands on trainings for safe and efficient warehouse operation.
- Adhere to any management specific trainings or requirements.
- Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures, work instructions and training materials.
- Complete at least 1 GEMBA per year on all developed processes and identify gaps if any.
- Resolve any receiving/picking/shipping/inventory complaint issues quickly and effectively.
- Perform account and inventory reconciliations as needed.
- Monitor and order shipping/packing materials to ensure a steady supply and stock levels.
- Complete packing for shipments according to required shipping condition, properly label and document shipments
- Coordinate the shipment of biomaterials for R&D, CMC, and clinical teams, both domestically and internationally.
- Handle administrative tasks including but not limited to: office supplies, cafeteria supplies, shipping documents; distributing and shipping swags and/or promotion materials to internal and external end users; creating return labels for internal and external end users. Other management tasks may be assigned as per business need.
- Adhering to all the necessary internal and external trainings for export compliance and internal company compliance regulations.
- Be a back-up to all facility operations as needed and complete other projects assigned by department head.
- Hazmat shipping internationally and domestically training preferred and will be required (49CFR, IATA).
- Backup to warehouse operations manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, 2 year associate degree required.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a cGMP pharmaceutical manufacturing setting, laboratory management or chemical shipping and handling in a cGMP setting.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, integrate cross-functional issues and balance competing priorities effectively.
- Must be able to manage shifting priorities to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced growing environment.
- Good communications skills and working effectively with broad stakeholders in various scientific/technical/business disciplines.
- Ability to promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention of errors.
- Strong analytical, data entry skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience with Warehouse and Transportation operations.
- Technologically savvy with the ability to quickly adopt new systems and processes.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and exposure to ERP and other electronic systems for operations management.
- Hazmat certified for DOT, AITA, Vessel.
- Complete knowledge of Veeva quality management system for authoring, reviewing, change controls and approvals of documents in that system.
