Opportunity
As a Sr. Sales Executive, you will execute, plan, schedule, conduct, and evaluate comprehensive sales activities within your territory, promoting Kohler Co. plumbing products through authorized wholesaler accounts. You'll engage with distributor showrooms, kitchen and bath dealers, remodelers, custom builders, designers, architects, plumbing professionals, and exclusive luxury builders. Your role includes preparing annual sales forecasts and taking on special assignments from the Branch Manager, all while building strong industry relationships and driving Kohler's market presence.

Specific Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain regular contact with accounts in assigned territory to introduce and promote the sale of Kohler Co. plumbing products in accordance with company sales and marketing goals and policies.
- Provide guidance and review the activities of accounts sales personnel; provide training and assist in resolving specific questions or problems related to selling efforts or technical issues.
- Establish and maintain regular contact with plumbing contractors, general contractors, builders, architects, plumbers, engineers, wholesaler and dealer showrooms to inform them of the advantages of using Kohler Co. plumbing products and to motivate them towards specifying Kohler Co. plumbing products for their customers.
- Analyze and evaluate assigned territory regarding sales trends and potentials, competition, economic/business conditions, and account performance; recommend changes in sales programs and accounts to make zone operation more effective in meeting sales volume quotas.
- Participate in industry trade organizations ( PRO's, BRGB, etc...) to expand industry knowledge and networking. Execute training courses ( CEU's ) that will assist industry partners knowledge and complement annual learning credit they might need
- Prepare annual sales forecast, for assigned territory/accounts, projecting sales volume for the next year based on knowledge of sales trends and potentials, and area competition and economic/business conditions. Review and discuss sales quotas with Branch Manager.
- Implement special training assignments as directed by Sales Manager.
- Attend and participate in Company sales meetings and trade or industry meetings, shows and conventions to increase knowledge of Kohler Co. plumbing products, improve selling techniques and cultivate good working relationships with distributors and product users.
- Prepare various correspondence, reports and forms related to daily activities, expenses, claims, etc
Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required. Preferably in Business Administration or Marketing.
- Typically has 3 years of outside sales experience with progressively more responsibility and a track record of results is required along with a consistent level of performance as a sales professional exceeding objectives.
- Must possess enhanced skills in written and oral communication with all levels of management and with outside contacts.
- Must possess a keen analytical mind, be strong on planning, detail, and accuracy, and be a demonstrably creative thinker.
Travel
- Travel to trade shows, manufacturing plants, and customer visits as needed, approximately 20-35%.
