Establish and drive Energy and Sustainable Solution (ESS) Global
Category Procurement in alignment with UOP business leadership for Static &
Fabricated Equipment category as per Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan.
In this role, you will be reporting to Sr. Director of Category Mgmt. Team at
ESS Procurement.
This position is responsible for the development and execution of category
and supply strategies for ESS Project Business (UOP and Capital) globally that
enables supplier rationalization, supply continuity risk mitigation, and
migration of spend including NPI spend to preferred suppliers while delivering
sustainable value including Pre & Post Award Productivity, Value
Engineering cost savings and Working capital improvement. You will lead supplier performance over $150M of Static & Fabricated
Equipment spend globally, lead new product developments (NPI), build
partnership and will ensure compliance with company business policies and
procedures.
Acts as a Global Leader of category management for ESS UOP Project Procurement. As a 'Matrix manager' this position leads team of 3 category owners which owns category and supply strategy management of ~$400M+ annual spend at ESS UOP.
The role is responsible for development and execution of Global Project Category Strategies leveraging best-in-class suppliers, processes and products to enable a competitive advantage to ESS Project Businesses & Capital Expenditures.
This role individually owns the Static and Fabricated equipment spend over $150M and expected Net Procurement Productivity Return of +10% and payables improvement over 100 days AWPOT, through sourcing strategies as - HGR sourcing, Supplier base expansion, Sole Source Elimination, Value Engineering. Support achievement of ESS Project Procurement AOPs Targets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Minimize the total costs of purchased goods and services by selecting the proper contracting strategies, contractually protecting Honeywell's intellectual and indemnity interest, enforcing contract compliance and using competitive practice
- Active participation in leadership meetings with SBG Project Engineering & Estimating leadership, which helps to drive strategic initiatives, early engagement & collaborative teamwork
- Partner with COE sourcing partners and ESS cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and support of category strategy creation and execution
- Support Technology and ESS NPI Sourcing during new product development identifying new suppliers and leveraging preferred suppliers, supporting the launch schedule and target cost
- Right and Fast development and deployment of strategies and resources to align with business Growth and New Product Introductions. Support integrations of Mergers and Acquisitions
- Develop and maintain Price Book, Should-Cost / Vertical Product Benchmarking databases supporting Fast & Right Project Business & Capital Engineering FEED and Estimating effort
- Consolidate fragmented ESS Project Suppliers Spend, reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution to bring greater value to Honeywell
- Identify, select, approve, monitor and manage suppliers capable of providing solutions that meet established business requirements and follow the global commodity strategies
- Facilitate engagement across ESS business units and functions to drive a singular approach to supplier management in assigned Static & Fabricated commodity space
- Negotiate and execute supply agreements with strategic suppliers to maximize benefit to Honeywell
YOU MUST HAVE
- 10+ years' experience in Strategic/Category Sourcing, Procurement of STATIC AND FABRICATED Equipment
- Experience in New Product Development Processes
- At least 5+ years of experience in negotiating critical contractual terms and conditions
- ERP/SAP system experience
- Ability to travel up to 50% including supplier visits and customer project sites
- Strong Root Cause Analysis, Problem Solving and Sr Leadership Communication skills
- Experience developing and meeting technical & business requirements of internal and external customers
- Strong comprehensive technical knowledge of our supply base, knowledge of acquisition planning, negotiations, and agreement/contract administration
WE VALUE
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, or Business
Engineering & construction in Oil & Gas sector / EPC companies is strongly preferred - Masters / Business degree preferred but not required
- CPSM certification or relevant Procurement Supply Chain and Procurement Certifications
- PMP Certification is highly preferred but not required. Strong knowledge understands PMI Body of Knowledge
- Preferable 2 or more years direct work experience in relevant Project Engineering roles
- Experience working in global & matrixed organization
- Proactive approach to business and team opportunities
- Well-developed problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills in English
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word
- Experience with SAP, E-Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic global environment
