The Terminal Operations Department plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of airport facilities. The team manages common-use resources, coordinates maintenance and emergency responses. Serves as a key communication link between airlines, ground staff, and other stakeholders.
As a Terminal Operations Intern, you will assist with routine inspections, document facility issues, support incident response and compliance activities. This position provides hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and opportunities to contribute to improving passenger experiences and operational efficiency.
The anticipated length of the internship is approximately June to December 2025 (40 hours/week) but can be negotiated. Intern will report to the Assistant Manager of Terminal Operations but will interact and work with everyone on the team.

Position Description
- Support the assignment, coordination, and monitoring of MACs common-use terminal facilities and related equipment at MSP Airport.
- Respond to incoming service calls and other requests for assistance; is the initial point of contact and on-site response for operations and maintenance problems; coordinates corrective actions with appropriate parties; frequently communicates and coordinates with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
- Perform a variety of scheduling, monitoring, and coordination activities in accordance with MAC policies, procedures, and other applicable regulations.
- Assess and respond to facilities issues, incident reports, incident assessment, escalation and other terminal response needs while closely collaborating and working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in or graduated from an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Aviation Management, Airport Administration or related program. Currently enrolled must be within 6 months of graduation.
- Experience using Microsoft office software, e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Valid driver's license.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS- Knowledge of airport operations.
- Knowledge of relevant Federal and State statutes and regulations pertaining to airport operations.
- Ability to operate two-way radio equipment.
- Familiarization with the Incident Command System.
- Private Pilot's License.
