About This Job
Air and Space Force Solutions, a business unit within BAE Systems, has an opening at our Hill Air Force Base, Utah location for a Mid-Level Systems Administrator supporting the Siemens Teamcenter PLM product. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain Teamcenter PLM system architectures, including hardware and software configurations
  • Develop and implement Teamcenter workflows, including creating and editing workflow definitions
  • Integrate Teamcenter with other systems and applications, including CAD, CAE, and ERP systems
  • Develop and deploy Teamcenter reports and dashboards, including creating and editing report definitions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex Teamcenter issues, including performance problems and data corruption
  • Develop and implement system security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption
  • Manage and maintain system documentation, including technical guides and user manuals
  • Develop and implement system monitoring and reporting tools, including metrics and analytics
  • Mentor and train junior systems administrators, including providing guidance and support
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize system enhancements and improvements
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as development and quality assurance, to ensure smooth integration and testing of systems
  • Develop and manage budgets for system upgrades, maintenance, and support
  • Participate in strategic planning and decision-making for the organization's IT systems
  • Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, migrations, and deployments
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of system standards and procedures
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, including analysis of logs and system metrics
  • Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including backup and restore procedures

  • Any other duties, as assigned

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Education and Experience Requirements are as follows:

A technical degree in computer science, or other related IT degree, and years of relevant experience for this position are as follows:

  • HS diploma and 11+ years of related experience, or
  • BS/BA and 7+ years of related experience, or
  • MA/MS with 5+ years of related experience

Experience and skills in the following:

  • MUST HAVE experience with Teamcenter administration tools, including Teamcenter Server, Teamcenter Client, and Teamcenter Web
  • Strong understanding of IT principles, including operating systems, networking, and database management
  • Experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of SQL databases and query languages, including database design and optimization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow established procedures and protocols

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Experience with multiple releases of Siemens Teamcenter, including upgrade and migration processes
  • Knowledge of Teamcenter customization and development, including scripting languages (e.g. Python, C#) and API integration
  • Experience with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL, and experience with incident management, problem management, and change management processes
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, and experience with cloud migration and deployment
  • Experience with security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption, and knowledge of security best practices
  • Certification in a relevant technology, such as Teamcenter, Windows Server, or Linux
  • Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data governance, data quality, and data analytics
  • Experience with reporting and analytics tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards, such as ISO 9001 or NIST
  • Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning, including backup and restore procedures
  • Top Secret clearance


Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $75510 - $128340

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
