Primary Purpose
This role supports sustainability and reporting efforts for the Private Brands (PB) portfolio of products. The primary focus of this role is to maintain data quality within our current systems so that we can ensure data integrity as it relates to product safety, social responsibility, and sustainable product KPIs. This position is a key component of the PB Product Sustainability & Reporting team and works collaboratively with PB Product Integrity team. This role also participates in conversations with PB Product Management (category development, sourcing, analytics, regulatory and packing teams), the Ahold Delhaize Group (product safety & compliance, global compliance & ethics, and climate & environment teams), the Ahold Delhaize USA Sustainable Retailing team, and third-party organizations such as vendors, science partners, and auditing bodies as needed.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD and Mauldin, SC.

Duties and Responsibilities
Supports Private Brands Sustainability (i.e. responsible retailing and responsible products)

  • Key team member responsible for tracking and reporting progress on compliance with Private Brands sustainability commitments and requirements, including social compliance, product safety global ingredient commodities; soy, palm oil, seafood, pulp/paper, coffee, tea, cocoa, cage free eggs, animal welfare, and additional emerging issues.
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining the quality of data in current systems as information is added and edited by updating existing data entries as requested and for reviewing new data entries on an ongoing basis. This includes but is not limited to maintaining data integrity within the Private Brands TraceOne platform and the Product Integrity Compliance Database.
  • Subject matter expert for ways of working within the Product Integrity Compliance Database and gatekeeper of this internal data source.
  • Is responsible for the PI Compliance Validation step of both onboarding and everyday project FLOWs. This step reviews and validates the data that was collected earlier on in the process and ensures that it is captured accurately across systems of record.
  • Steps in to assist on various projects as needed. These types of projects may include but are not limited to supplier outreaches, fulfilling ad hoc data requests, and providing assistance to ensure suppliers follow through on commitments.

Supports Private Brands Quarterly Reporting Initiatives

  • Contributes to quarterly reporting processes as a means to monitor progress toward achievement of sustainability goals as they relate to critical commodities.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • 2+ years of related experience

  • Experience working in reporting, sustainability, private label retail and/or food manufacturing settings is preferred but not required
