Trauma / Acute Care Surgeon

The Department of Surgery at the MetroHealth System, affiliated with Case Western Reserve University, is seeking a full-time academic Trauma/Acute Care Surgeon to join our Division of Trauma, Critical Care, Burns, and Emergency General Surgery.
Position Highlights:
- Clinical Excellence:
- Provide high-quality patient care at MetroHealths Level I trauma center and multiple Level III trauma centers across the region.
- Contribute to over 12,000 trauma activations annually, with more than 2,000 trauma admissions at our main center.
- Teaching & Academic Growth:
- Engage in the education of surgical residents, emergency medicine residents, and fellows from across the region.
- Support and mentor trainees from MetroHealths critical care fellowship and surgical residency programs, as well as affiliated programs, including the Cleveland Clinic.
- Research & Leadership Development:
- Opportunities available for research collaboration and professional development.
- Potential for leadership growth at local, regional, and national levels.
- State-of-the-Art Facilities:
- Work at MetroHealths new Glick Center, a cutting-edge hospital designed to enhance patient care and medical education.
- MetroHealths main campus includes a 700+ bed teaching hospital, an ACS-verified Level I adult trauma center, Level II pediatric trauma center, and Level I burn center.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified/board-eligible in General Surgery.
- Additional qualifications in Surgical Critical Care required.
- Strong interest in teaching, research, and team collaboration.
