Summary
This position is located at Departmental Offices, Domestic Finance - Financial Markets. As a Staff Accountant (Senior), you will work under the general supervision of the Supervisory Accountant of Federal Financing Bank providing expert advice on a variety of complex accounting problems as well as providing training and guidance to junior accountant staff.

Duties
As a Staff Accountant (Senior), you will:
- Provide advice on a variety of accounting problems and prepare technical reports, analyses and exhibits, and recommendations and alternatives for Federal Financial Bank's (FFB) Director of Accounting.
- Support accounting system development for FFB's Loan Management and Control System (LMCS).
- Conduct research and analyses for various accounting, financial, and budgeting processes used by the Federal Financing Bank (FFB) in support of its overall financial management responsibilities.
- Coordinate the interface of GOALS, ECS, TIER and other external computer systems with the operations of the Federal Financial Bank and the Loan Management and Control System.
- Review monthly TIER transmissions and other reports and work products drafted by FFB staff accountants.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Experience conducting or overseeing accounting audits or responses to accounting audits in conformity with professional and regulatory standards; AND
- Experience researching accounting policies and regulatory guidelines to provide authoritative recommendations to management; AND
- Experience analyzing internal accounting and financial reporting systems for adequacy and recommending technical modifications and improvements.
