Job Description
Entry level position responsible for performing and coordinating the Firm's accounting needs. The Staff Accountant's responsibilities include but not limited too: preparing financial reports, performing bank and account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger and assisting with audit preparations.Primary Responsibilities and/or Essential functions:
- Assist with the preparation of the daily cash report
- Monitor daily positive pay for checks and ACH’s
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Analyze balance sheet on a monthly basis
- Prepare journal entries
- Assist with the month-end closing procedures and annual financial statements for the Firm.
- Participate in special projects.
- Any additional responsibilities as required by management.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:
- Strong Excel skills are a plus
- Must be able to manage time and multiple assignments
- Good communication skills required
- Must be able to work overtime, if necessary.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
Estimated salary range is $55,000 - $65,000. Compensation decisions within the range are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, and qualification
