As a Senior Advanced Software Engineer, you will be responsible for performing software development activities for Next Gen Flight Management System (NGFMS) product, specifically in User Interface and Datalink functionality. The successful candidate will be working with a team to develop complex features in compliance with the NGFMS Software Product Line (SPL) architecture. We are seeking someone who brings the right experience and expertise to lead the feature development and integration using novel techniques and generate innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform software development activities for Next Gen Flight Management System (NGFMS) products specifically in User interface and Datalink functionalities.
- Software requirement development
- Software design, development and Integration
- Customer interaction and Support
- Software Verification and Validation
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 2 + years of experience in programming experience in Embedded C++
- Experience in developingsafety-critical avionics software.
WE VALUE
- Experience in development of the Flight management system software
- Experience in Flightdeck User Interface development and aircraft Datalink functionality
- Strong understanding of OOAD approach and concepts
- Proficient to code in C++ programming language
- Testing and Integration on test benches in labs
- Follow software development lifecycle per DO-178C
- Software Verification and Validation using C++
- Individuals who quickly analyze, incorporate, and apply new information and concepts.
- Self-starter and passionate about solving complex problems.
