The Supply Technician will support Special Communications Mission Solutions (SCMS). The selected candidate must be a motivated individual with experience in tracking, receiving, storing, inventorying, purchasing and issuing material. The selected candidate will work with project support/task leads to develop material requirements for multiple projects operating simultaneously. The work environment is fast paced, with multiple contractors as well as government employees. The candidate will be expected to have effective written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Develop and track Master Equipment Lists (MEL) and Master Parts Lists (MPL).
* Submit Purchase Requests (PR), and monitor Purchase Orders (PO) to delivery.
* Create DD1149s to document the transfer of material to the government.
* Request quotes from suppliers, develop acquisition strategies to best benefit the project with the main factors of cost and schedule.
* Proactively obtain status on requisitions and provide updates to project managers to maintain project schedule.
* Update and monitor the approved supplier list.
* Obtain and use a corporate purchase card, frequently submitting expense reports.
The hourly rate for this position is set by the Dept of Labor and is not negotiable. Current rate is $36.12/hr.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.
There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

Pay Information
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
