Full Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated, and experienced Software QA Manager to join our Technology & Innovation Team. The Team operates within an Agile Software Development framework that ensures customer satisfaction through the delivery of functional, reliable software products. Reporting to the Director of QA, the QA Manager will lead a team of QA Specialists, and collaborate closely with development, product and support teams to deliver exceptional user experiences in a fast-past environment. At Aquent, QA is not just “testing”. Members of the QA Team apply their knowledge and skills early in the software development process. They work closely with Product Managers, Designers and Developers to recognize the potential for operational issues and assess risks with a view to preventing issues before they are implemented. The ideal candidate will bring a holistic view of Quality and focus on user value while fostering the same within their team.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and mentor a team of QA Specialists, providing guidance, support, performance feedback, and career coaching.
• Work directly with QA Specialists and provide coaching on designing and implementing test plans
• Collaborate with QA automation engineers, and development and product teams to identify, record, and resolve defects.
• Track and report on testing progress, identify risks, and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide QA coverage on development teams when QA Specialists take vacation, including participating in Agile Ceremonies and collaborating on software design and development solutions.
• Collaborate with the Director of QA to contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and procedures.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of Management processes and procedures within the Technology & Innovation organization.
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a management role
Other Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, Agile methodologies, and a variety of software testing tools
• Strong coaching, relationship building, and leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with iOS and Google Suite
• Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (preferred, but not required)
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer and participating on video calls
• Ability to work fully remotely
• Must work an Eastern Time Zone schedule (9-5)
