Full Job Description

Description

The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology, University of Washington, is hiring a Full Professor on the Clinical Practice track to specialize in Genitourinary (GU) pathology in our Anatomic Pathology Division at the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology. The primary clinical service responsibility will be to participate in the GU Pathology subspecialty service. Additional responsibilities include the teaching of residents, fellows, and medical students as well as establishing partnerships with clinical colleagues in Urology.

Faculty with 12-month service periods are paid for 11 months of service over a 12-month period (July-June), meaning the equivalent of one month is available for paid time off. Clinical Practice track appointments are not eligible for tenure. The initial period for the Professor of Clinical Practice appointment will be 3 years. Multi-year renewal of the faculty appointment is contingent upon satisfactory performance, the needs of the department, availability of resources, and in accordance with university policy and procedure governing reappointment. This position is part time and remains open until filled with an anticipated start date of March 1, 2025, but is flexible.

The base salary range for this position will be $27,912 to $31,505 per month ($334,946 to $378,071 annually) commensurate with experience and qualifications, or as mandated by a U.S. Department of Labor prevailing wage determination. This range is inclusive of base salary provided through the UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan, in addition to base salary provided by the University. Please note that only compensation provided by the University is included in University benefit determinations and calculations. Compensation provided by UW Physicians (UWP) practice plan may provide eligibility for separate benefits offered by that organization.

UW faculty demonstrate the highest standards of professionalism and engage in teaching, research, and clinical service. UW faculty embrace the vision of excellence, collaboration, and integrity. Come join us in one of the most beautiful and exciting locations in the U.S. as we pursue our mission of creatively and durably improving health.
