Job Summary
The Producer, Social Content will work closely with our Sr. Manager Social Content to develop social-first initiatives such as video, graphic or other emerging content for all LAK-owned channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) with a strong focus on @LAKings. This position will work collaboratively with our Production, Creative, and PR teams to plan, develop, and execute creative concepts.
Essential Functions
- Plans, oversees, and produces new, exciting, and innovative concepts for content including high-quality Video, Graphic, and Social-first content, both cinema level quality and lo-fi (iPhone) level. Owns the process from concept to delivery to ensure that all content is polished, cohesive, and aligns with the LA Kings brand and messaging.
- Capture social content in game, at practice sessions and in studio environment(s) and production set(s) at a variety of events for the LA Kings including special events, PR appearances and away games. Edit both social and short-form content, including game highlights, player focused content etc.
- Collaborate with the social team on day-to-day posting and management of all LAK-owned channels, where necessary. Stay up to date on new trends, styles, and content types to help further the LAK brand as innovators.
- Contribute to the development of Team Narratives, Player Storylines, and Organizational Messaging to further enhance the LA Kings brand mission.
- Work cross functionally with the Creative & Production teams on select Video and/or Graphic projects, where needed.
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Media, Production, Design, or any other similar concentration
- 4-6 years related work experience
- Experience in Social/Digital Content creation. Sports experience strongly preferred.
- Experience field producing features through host and non-hosted shoots with elite-level talent.
- Experience in contributing or managing Social Media channels for a Sports organization preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective interaction with all levels within the company and outside the company
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder and Photoshop
- Firm understanding of video compression and standard codecs used for broadcast and digital
- Creative and skilled in non-linear storytelling
- Ability to produce content through written scripts, interviews and b-roll
- Ability to work efficiently in a highly demanding and time sensitive environment
- Strong sense of project ownership and dedication to delivering outstanding results
- Excellent time management skills. Be able to complete projects under deadline with little supervision
- Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects is a plus
- Team player who enjoys working in a high achieving, rewarding environment that looks to push the boundaries in sports
- Proactive, problem solver who looks to leverage critical thinking daily
- Proficiency with Sony Camera family (or similar)
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, AE, Lightroom, etc.)
- Must be available to work nights, holidays, weekends and select travel during the hockey season
Pay Scale: $67,000-$75,000
AEG reserves the right to change or modify the employee’s job description whether orally or in writing, at any time during the employment relationship. AEG may require an employee to perform duties outside their normal description.
