A fast-growing and successful green industry firm seeks a Product Sales Account Manager. This firm services Green Industry customers in Agriculture, Landscaping, Site Construction, Soil Blending, and Commercial Construction. The area of responsibility would be the greater Houston area.
Responsible for all sales and business development activities, from lead generation through close and account maintenance of existing business in an assigned region. Develop & implement an agreed-upon sales plan that will meet both personal and business goals for expanding the customer base in the market area. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for the sale of organic residual products in bulk and/or bags
- Demonstrates technical skills in common Microsoft Office programs
- Develop monthly and annual business plans in conjunction with the Director of Sales, which detail activities to follow during the month/year, which will focus the Business Development Associate on meeting or exceeding goals
- Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business owners and decision-makers.
- Implement the logistics of individual sales by working internally with support staff and externally with subcontractors
- Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
- Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP/RFQ responses.
- Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
- Maintains accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls, presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within their assigned territory.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- Participates and contributes to the development of educational programs offered to clients, prospects, and company employees.
- Participate in industry and trade groups associated with the firm
- Travel as needed to industry conferences, trade shows, meetings, etc.

- Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction.
- Demonstrate ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees.

- Be self-motivated and able to work within a variety of business development tasks.
- Work with the Director of Sales, Facility Staff, and Back End Support Staff to achieve sales goals and address issues as they arise.
Job Specifications:
- Preferred experience in green industry sales
- Educational background and experience to include turf, soil science, or agricultural sciences preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
- Willingness to travel and work from a variety of locations
- Spend time in the specified region developing relationships with potential and existing customers.
- Proven ability to achieve sales goals
- Clean driving record
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
