A Brief Overview
This role leads patient flow management efforts to promote efficiency and standardization across the system.
What you will do
- Training / Quality Improvement
- Oversee the development of workflows and requirements for patient flow management
- Lead, participate and facilitate projects and process improvement initiatives
- Identify and implement related products and system enhancements
- Develop and maintain training programs and policies to support process improvement
- Develop and maintain interdepartmental relationships to enhance revenue cycles
- Provide related communication and policy integration across the institution
- Access Services
- Lead the patient access operations staff to perform related activities including scheduling, registration, quality assurance, insurance verification and authorization
- Ensure adequate staffing levels of access services.
- Proactively seek customer (physician, administrator, and family) feedback including conducting regular meetings. Follow-up and document all related complaints
- Collaborate to leverage technology providing related system and technical support
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for all departments regarding:
- Patient Access
- Appointment Scheduling
- Call Center Telephone Services
- Scheduling Build Services (Master Scheduling).
- Metrics and Reporting
- Develop and implement reports including to track financial counselor, schedule / registration operations, and patient access / status
- Develop and implement strategies to resolve complex issues and problems
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required
- Master's Degree in Nursing Preferred
Experience Qualifications
- At least five (5) years financial management and analysis experience required (7 years preferred)
- At least three (3) years experience in a healthcare related environment required (5 years preferred)
- At least one (1) year management or supervisory experience required (3 years preferred)
- RN experience preferred
