Full Job Description

Join Barclays as an Office Manager at Barclays Boston, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring all functions, initiatives and priorities support the Barclays Boston branch operations & Personnel. The Office Manager is responsible for continuous improvement and organization of daily events support of the front office staff. This translates but is not limited to the following main duties and responsibilities, such as processing of all expenses, effective screening of calls, book meeting rooms, oversee catering orders, travel arrangements and overall liaise between both internal and external stakeholders, while taking ownership of their day.


To be successful as an Office Manager, you should have:

  • Administrative experience with travel, and organizing meetings

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to maintain confidential information and strong attention to detail

Purpose of the role

To oversee the smooth operation of the bank's business activities by handling a wide range of administrative tasks.

Accountabilities

  • Management and facilitating of the cost close out of projects, ensuring any outstanding issues/cost commitments are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Supporting identified payroll and related input processes and procedures i.e., receive and verify wage input sheets from operations, escalate queries and print and distribute pay slips.
  • Provision of administrative support with regards to the implementation of the talent development strategy, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintenance of accurate and organised records, including financial documents, reports, and other administrative files.
  • Management of office supplies, equipment, and inventory, ensuring availability and ordering as needed.

  • Guide and persuade team members and communicate complex / sensitive information.
  • Act as contact point for stakeholders outside of the immediate function, while building a network of contacts outside team and external to the organisation.
