Our education client is looking for a Marketing/Communications Manager to join its team in a temp-to-hire basis, to lead a small content team and oversee diverse projects to enhance the institution's storytelling and digital presence. This is a hybrid position 4 days per week onsite just south of Boston.
Responsibilities for the Marketing Communications Manager include but are not limited to:
- Managing a team of three full-time and one part-time staff members, overseeing project loads and schedules
- Writing and proofing editorial content (print and digital), and drafting/editing internal/external communications
- Overseeing web content and microsites, including content creation (visual/text) and SEO management
- Collaborating with the Marketing Communications Team to develop and implement strategy
- Assisting with event coverage on occasion
The ideal Marketing/Communications Manager will have:
- Prior education marcom experience
- Experience managing a small team and assuring quality control on content output
- Experience in publication production, and project management
- Proficiency with web content management systems and light Adobe Suite
- Experience in developing and directing integrated social media strategies
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Understanding of data integration and web management
- (Nice to have) experience leading video/photo projects from idea generation and scriptwriting to production
- Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)
