Responsibilities*
- Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies moderately complex information systems.
- Includes analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements, and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts.
- Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
- Support large scale projects (Produce meeting minutes/action items; Document project assignments; Maintain project status reports)
- Manage small request (Meet with admins/end users to collect requirements; Liaise between end users and developer; Document request status/provide updates in weekly team meetings)
- Lead departmental documentation overhaul (Setup SharePoint structure; Coordinate with technical lead on documentation requirements; Develop documentation report, with status of project documentation)
- Willingness to learn new tech and clinical background on projects.

Required Qualifications*
- BA degree, 1 year of experience in business analysis/data analytics
Desired Qualifications*
- BA degree plus 1-5 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics
- Proven ability to produce and maintain reports
- Demonstrated attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Strong quantitative, written, and verbal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively; able to effectively network and build relationships with stakeholders
- Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, web apps preferred
Modes of Work

Background Screening
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
