The salary range is dependent on experience level and location ranging from $83,800 to $115,232,
Job Summary
The Lead Analyst delivers Environmental Compliance assistance in support of the operations and capital projects of Avangrid Networks. Supporting environmental compliance needs across all media such as waste streams, wastewater, air emissions, regulatory and non-regulatory reporting, spill response and permit compliance. Duties include supporting environmental risk identification and elevating concerns to support the identification and management of risks. In this role, the incumbent will work with stakeholders inside and outside Avangrid Networks to facilitate compliant systems and good regulatory relationships. This role will work both in an office environment and in the field reviewing active construction activities. Support is generally focused to the assigned OPCO.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides direction on aspects of Environmental Compliance and best practices.
- Verifies process or project adherence to federal, state and local environmental regulatory requirements.
- Participates in project teams and participating in regular program/project planning, execution and delivery team meetings.
- Represents the company at public or regulatory meetings.
- Reviews and comments on proposed laws and regulations as they apply to company operations.
- Prepares plans and budgets for required environmental controls on a given process.
- Secures and administers contractor resources for any appropriate need or risk.
- Manages contractors for on-time, on-budget delivery of products and services.
- Verifies contractor’s deliverables in regard to conformity to business requirements, quality and completeness.
- Manages projects to approved scope, schedule and budget.
- Manages progress against plans, performs risk assessment and take action to mitigate risks.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience Environmental Compliance with state, federal and municipal regulations. Experience building relationships with regulators to support compliance and operational goals.
- Experienced in the scoping and editing and interpreting studies for the support regulatory filings.
- Experience working in team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in large scale infrastructure projects and process working with project teams to minimize environmental impacts and ensure compliance while optimizing project design, delivery and cost.
- Proven experience working with and presenting to regulatory agencies, including State and federal agencies and local municipalities.
- Experience assessing and minimizing Corporate risks and public liabilities.
- Strong analytical skills related to problem solving and innovative solutions.
- Superior communication skills; proven ability to interact and
present solutions to all levels within an organization
- Interpersonal Skills: able to get cooperation and commitment of others without direct reporting relationship to be able to accomplish strategic objectives.
- Experience managing budgets and analyzing financial impacts to decision making.
- Knowledge of main configuration and general arrangements of networks (substations, overhead lines and cable) infrastructures
