Summary
This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, within the Office of Facilities Support. As an Iron Worker, you will perform various duties related to the installation, dismantling, repair, and maintenance in the main and annex buildings of the Bureau. This position supports specialized production and process related equipment unique to the Bureau of Engraving & Printing.
Duties
As an Iron Worker, you will performs the following work as associated with the iron working trade:
- Install handrails and metal stanchions, structural steel and aluminum catwalks, security barriers, monorail and trolley tracks, metal fences and associated hardware, including locking devices, hinges, and gates.
- Repair turnstiles and rolling overhead door pin locks, metal fences; hand trucks.
- Repair ink dollies, handrails, security barriers, ornamental iron work, rolling overhead door structural members.
- Fabricate steel frames used to support vault doors, steel supports used to hold electric control panels and security devices and cameras.

To meet the screen-out element, applicants must have: experience assembling, fabricating, and installing parts in a production facility. Also, you must have some welding experience as applied to maintaining building and machinery and equipment under the close direction of a supervisor.
