2ndShift Forklift Operator - Conroe, TX

JOB SUMMARY: Performs various project work which requires safely operating vehicles and a variety of heavy/agricultural equipment that may include front end loader, grinders, and forklift.

Shift: Monday - Friday; 1PM-11PM, Alternating Saturdays 8AM - 12PM

Safety: This position is a safety-sensitive position and requires a clear mind and diligence. The employee has the responsibility for his/her safety as well as the safety of others.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Always operate equipment in a safe manner
  • Perform loading, unloading, and timely delivery of material to assigned/approved destination.
  • Serve as a company ambassador in every interaction with clients and the public.
  • Conduct daily inspections and perform preventative maintenance on the equipment.
  • Perform shop clean up, maintenance, and equipment/tools setup.
  • Maintain operation records.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Communication skills - verbal and written.
  • Ability to operate heavy or agricultural equipment in a safe manner.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Ability to follow directions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum 2 years heavy equipment operator work experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Sitting, Climbing, Balancing, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Feeling, lifting to 50 lbs., Talking, Hearing, and Seeing
  • The employee is subject to confined spaces.
  • The employee is subject to outside environmental conditions: No effective protection from weather.
  • The employee is subject atmospheric conditions.
  • The employee is subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.
  • This position requires overtime.

Qualifications:

  • Operate heavy/agricultural equipment, & forklift safely
  • Verbal and Written Communication
  • Ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Clean MVR

Education Preferred: High School or better.

Licenses & Certifications Required: Driver's license
