Cheyenne Mountain Resort opened in 1985 and sits on 25 acres of land. The 4-Star Full Service property is nestled in the lush greens of Southern Colorado Springs and oversees Impressive mountain views, along with exciting activities like golf, swimming, and tennis. These allow for the unique experience that you can only get at this resort.
Salary range: $56,300-$61,300
The Event Sales Manager is responsible for selling and servicing events. Primary sales efforts are in Banquet Food and Beverage and includes menu planning, agenda setting and hotel meeting services. Duties also include contract review and facilitating communication before, during and post event with pertinent hotel staff to ensure a high level of service.The Event Sales Manager also host hotel tours, maintain strong customer relationships, participate and may lead event meetings and other staff meetings, and work as a team member with the sales and events staff. The manager also works closely with an assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff. Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards. - Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Candidates should be extremely detail oriented and organized
- Prefer two years hotel experience or completed Event Management trainee program
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively attain assigned meeting planner satisfaction scores, revenue goals, as well as food and beverage goals.
- Proactively conduct solicitation calls, conduct tours, and entertain clients specific to needs respective to the assigned property.
- Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
- Approach all encounters with guests and colleagues in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
- Demonstrate ability to deliver banquet event orders on a timely basis (10 days) and ensure accuracy.
- Ensure changes are communicated timely to impacted departments/operations leaders.
- May assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions relating to direct sales segments i.e. sales blitzes, etc.
- Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and any other functions required by management.
- Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hyatt standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
- Comply at all times with Cheyenne Mountain Resort’s standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
- Book meeting/catering events/in-house event & BEOs.
- Generate and distribute meeting/catering contracts/BEOs.
- Add traces to existing booking for critical dates – Cut off/Deposits/Signed documents, etc.
- Distribute and collect weekly Resumes.
- Create files with required contract documentation.
- Send out VIP Amenity Requests.
- Any other duties as required.
