Director, Human Resources Business Partner - Space & Tactical Systems - Hybrid

Job Description In this role, you will develop and execute talent strategies, enable a culture of inclusion, and deploy organizational effectiveness tools that attract reward, engage, retain, and develop our talented workforce.
This role will support Space Systems and Tactical Systems portfolios of our Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance solutions (C4ISRS) business and report directly to the C4ISRS Sr. Director, Human Resources. In this role, you'll help develop systems that sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to warfighters supporting a variety of missions.
The preferred location for this position is Greenlawn, NY but we will also consider talent local to Manassas, VA.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format with 25% travel to key sites other than the core site location (key sites in Virginia, New York, and New Hampshire). The hybrid work expectations for this role are three days per week on site during a 5-day work week and two days per week during a 4-day work week.

Full-Time Salary Range: $128100 - $217800
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and execute an agile people strategy that advances critical business priorities and supports the attraction, development, and retention of our talent - while embracing the future of work.
- Lead and/or partner (with COE's) on items including, but not limited to talent acquisition, talent development, leadership development, succession planning, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational effectiveness, performance development and total rewards.
- Build and execute a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion plan to drive tangible improvements in diverse representation. Integrate DEI principles and practices into business goals, talent development strategies. Promote a strong culture of inclusion across the organization.
- Orchestrate key talent movement with an aim towards building diverse teams and robust succession.
- Partner with leaders to evaluate the effectiveness of their teams and their organizational design. Facilitate workshops to re-evaluate existing structures, where needed. Lead change management efforts and new leader onboarding/assimilation activities, as required.
- Counsel / coach leaders across the integrated team on matters concerning development of their organization to enhance effectiveness and potential. Connect leaders to the right resources to support their own development and the development/effectiveness of their teams.
- Serve as a member of the C4ISRS HR Business Partner team, actively partnering with other team members across the function and business to drive innovative, strategic, and consistent people strategies across Electronic Systems sector.
- 12+ Years with BS OR 10+ Years with MS OR 6+ Years with PhD
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. BAE Systems, Inc. will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Experience in an HR Business Partner role supporting an organization with a population of 500+ employees.
- Previous experience working for a government defense contractor.
- This is a hybrid position with a mix of on-site and remote presence.
- Proven experience serving as a coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.
- Business acumen, be innovative, adapt well to change and work collaboratively with strategic influence to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment.
- Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals (talent acquisition, total rewards, performance management, employee relations, diversity, equity and inclusion, organizational change, learning and development, and organization effectiveness).
- Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with data-driven solutions that will effectively advance business strategies and drive change throughout their organizations.
- Project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.
- Analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from data, anticipating second and third order of effects when making recommendations.
- Active Secret clearance
