Digital Marketing Manager

Position Overview:

The Pilot newspaper is seeking a highly organized and tech-savvy Digital Marketing Manager to oversee and our social media accounts as well as the software solutions that drive our advertising department’s success. This critical supporting role ensures audience growth and development and efficient operations of our sponsored digital promotions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Social Media Management: Curate and create content that showcases the work of The Pilot newsroom and collaborate with reporters to bring their stories to life on social media.

• Promotions Software Management: Operate and manage third-party software that facilitates promotions such as giveaways, contests, quizzes, ballots and sweepstakes.

• B2B Email Communications: Oversee and coordinate all business-to-business email communications to enhance advertiser engagement and retention.

• Support Advertising Initiatives: Collaborate closely with the advertising team to ensure that digital tools effectively support sales, marketing, and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications:

• Experience in managing online communities and interacting with followers

• Experience in creating and posting content on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok

• Comfortable with being behind and in front of a camera

• Knowledge of social media trends and the sense of urgency to capitalize on them

• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing technical solutions.
