Supporting: Large Financial Services Client
Location: Hybrid - Tuesday through Thursday - McLean, VA
Position Description:
We are seeking seasoned Senior Developer-Java/J2EE to join a passionate Agile Product team to design, code, and test the technological architecture of critical accounting and reporting services. You will collaborate with a dynamic team of full-stack developers to enhance and modernize systems, using modern design patterns and architectural principles. Youll be responsible for unit and integration tests, developing automation tools, and delivering high-quality, efficient code. If youre a confident, self-motivated professional with a passion for technology and excellent communication skills, we want to hear from you!
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in computer science or related field, advanced degree preferred; or an equivalent experience / certifications.
* 5-7 or more years of experience working in Agile, Lean/Kanban, or Scrum based Agile organization.
* Experience applying TDD, BDD, and Static Code analysis to improve quality and reliability of delivery
* Proficient in code delivery pipelines such as Maven, Jenkins, Spinnaker
* 3-5 years of experience in Design and Development of Applications and Web Services using Java EE, Spring / Spring Boot, Python
* Experience with Java presentation frameworks, Angular or similar frameworks
* Hands on integration experience using Web Services /REST and EJB; Tomcat experience is a plus.
* Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MicroServices is strongly preferred
