Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced full-time, on-site Database Administrator (DBA) with a proven track record in managing and optimizing complex database environments. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of hands-on experience working with MSSQL, SSIS, MySQL, and data warehouses. Knowledge of Crystal Reports is a plus. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, security, and scalability of our databases while collaborating closely with development, analytics, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Database Management and Optimization
* Design, implement, and maintain MSSQL, MySQL, and data warehouse environments.
* Monitor and optimize database performance, query tuning, and storage management.
* Conduct regular database maintenance, including indexing, backups, and updates.
2. ETL Development and Data Integration
* Develop and maintain ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) to support data pipelines and data integration tasks.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
3. Data Warehousing
* Design and manage data warehouse schemas, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
* Develop solutions to support advanced analytics, reporting, and BI needs.
4. Security and Compliance
* Implement database security measures, including role-based access control and encryption.
* Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards for data privacy and security.
5. Troubleshooting and Support
* Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including outages, performance bottlenecks, and data integrity problems.
* Provide 24/7 on-call support as required for critical database systems.
6. Documentation and Best Practices
* Maintain comprehensive documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
* Provide recommendations for database best practices and improvements.
Database Administrator Pay & Benefits
Davidson's is a business casual environment that offers a generous benefits and compensation package. The starting salary for the Database Administrator will be $70k to $80k commensurate with experience in addition to our voluntary benefits including family Medical, Dental, and Vision coverages as well as supplemental life insurance, flexible spending accounts, short-term/ long-term disability plans, pet insurance, cash benefit plans, and a 401(k) retirement plan with a generous match!

Requirements
Required:
* Ability to work on-site Monday - Friday with additional on-call schedule.
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* 5+ years of experience with:
* MSSQL Server administration, development, and optimization.
* SSIS for ETL workflows and data integration.
* MySQL database setup, configuration, and maintenance.
* Data warehouse design, implementation, and management.
* Strong understanding of database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
* Proficiency in SQL scripting for database queries, stored procedures, and functions.
* Experience with database backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Preferred:
* Experience with Crystal Reports for custom report development.
* Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS).
* Knowledge of data visualization and BI tools like Power BI or Tableau.
