This role involves overseeing kitchen operations within the hotel, ensuring the production of high-quality, consistent dishes that meet guest expectations. Key responsibilities include supervising Line Cooks, assisting in training, maintaining food quality, and stepping in for the Chef when needed. The position also requires basic cost control, including inventory management, portion control, and monitoring labor costs. Essential skills include culinary education, basic leadership, communication, time management, and proficiency in kitchen management software. The ideal candidate should be capable of managing kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, and supporting staff development while maintaining operational standards.

Qualifications

Previous kitchen experience, such as in-line cook or kitchen Lead position, is preferred

Culinary Training or certification is a plus, but not required

Attention to detail and commitment to quality

A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.

Refined verbal and written communication skills

Ability to stand and work for extended periods

Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as pots, pans, and food crates up to 50Ibs.

Ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays and weekends.
