EUROIMMUN US is seeking a Controller to lead the US and Canada subsidiary financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely GAAP-compliant accounting practices. This role oversees accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), financial planning and analysis (FP&A), and business analytics. The Controller will manage a small team of 2-3 direct reports and play a key role in driving financial integrity and operational efficiency in alignment with the company's objectives as U.S. subsidiary of a publicly-traded parent organization.
Essential Functions:
Ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP, SOX, and internal controls for all financial transactions, reporting, and recordkeeping
Prepare and manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes with EUROIMMUN and Revvity headquarters, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare financial statements and manage audits, serving as the primary contact for internal and external auditors
Manage and enforce SOX compliance program across the business
Provide regular and pro-active communication with headquarter regarding reporting package reconciliations and financial performance
Oversee AP and AR processes, ensuring timely payment of invoices and accurate billing/collections
Establish and enforce policies to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and minimize financial risk
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
Analyze financial results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to the leadership team
Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and drive business performance
Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize operational and financial outcomes
Manage and mentor a team of 2-3 accounting and finance professionals
Establish and manage the company's annual budgeting processes in collaboration with departmental leaders
Monitor performance against budgets and provide variance analysis to leadership
Ensure alignment between budgeting processes and corporate strategic goals
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification required.
Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting/finance roles, including leadership positions
Preferred Qualifications:
Expertise in US GAAP and financial reporting
Proficiency in SAP is mandatory. SAP Business One is strongly preferred
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Experience with financial planning software is a plus
Strong ability to synthesize data into insights and recommendations
Proven track record of building and managing high-performing teams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders
Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements in accounting, FP&A, or business analytics
